Dental care service axes grey fleet under shared electric car service

Glasgow-based Dental Care at Home is using a shared electric car from the Co-wheels Car Club to replace its grey fleet, providing a more eco-friendly alternative that’s also scalable.

The Renault Zoe electric car is based right outside Dental Care at Home’s health centre in Glasgow

The business has a team of dentists and dental hygiene therapists who travel to appointments at 19 care homes and are now using a designated Co-wheels Renault Zoe, located outside the health centre, instead of their own petrol- or diesel-powered cars.

Staff members also cycle, walk or drive an electric vehicle into work.

Mark Fowler, manager of Dental Care at Home, said: “Having driven an electric vehicle for three years myself, I’m a huge believer in making the switch to electric, and we were excited to become members of the Co-wheels car club – a model which allows flexibility, is scalable and reliable.

“Using the Co-wheels car club really sets us apart as a business, and our care home residents love that we’re doing our bit to help the environment, championing a greener, forward-thinking approach to travel.”
