Deadline looms for Kia EV6 pre-reservations

Drivers and fleets have a last chance to secure an early ordering slot for the forthcoming Kia EV6.

UK pre-reservations for the Kia EV6 close after 30 April 2021

Revealed last month, the EV6 electric crossover is Kia’s first car to be based on the Hyundai Motor Group’s bespoke E-GMP platform and the first of 11 new battery electric vehicles due under Kia’s ‘Plan S’ strategy first revealed last year.

Priced from £40,895, the EV6 offers multiple powertrain configurations, including long-range (77.4kWh) and standard-range (58.0kWh) battery packs, giving a range of up to 316 miles. It will also be Kia’s first electric vehicle to be available with two-wheel or four-wheel drive options, and offers 800V and 400V charging capabilities.

The pre-reservation process enables customers to secure an early ordering slot for the new EV6 via the Kia UK website, with a fully refundable £100 charge. Pre-reservation customers will be invited to place their order during an exclusive two-week ordering period in May, ahead of general sale. First UK deliveries of the EV6 start from October 2021.

Customers also have a last chance to pre-reserve the 576bhp EV6 GT, which features a dual-motor all-wheel drive system enabling it to accelerate from 0-to-62mph in 3.5 seconds. First UK customer deliveries of the new high-performance GT BEV are due from October 2022, with the ordering window closing at the end of April until 2022.

Pre-reservation customers placing an order will also benefit from a tailored charging service, featuring one year’s free subscription to KiaCharge Plus, alongside access to Ionity’s pan-European ultra-rapid EV charging network.
