The deal means Days Contract Hire will continue to use Fleet Assist’s network of 7,000 garages to carry out service, maintenance and repair work on its fleet of more than 10,000 company cars and vans.

Fleet Assist, which works with 30 contract hire and leasing companies operating 700,000 vehicles, also offers a service booking facility directing work towards its garages, as well as showing summaries and transaction details to allow customers to track driver behaviour.

Days Contract Hire operations manager Caroline Wright said: ‘Through our partnership with Fleet Assist, we can maximise the quality of repairs to our vehicle fleet across the UK and achieve one of the lowest response times to our repairers ensuring that our vehicles are off the road for the minimum amount of time.’

Vincent St Claire, commercial director, Fleet Assist, added: ‘Over the years Days Contract Hire and its customers have continually benefitted from the initiatives Fleet Assist has introduced and we also have exciting plans to expand our service booking call centre in the near future.’
