Auto Windscreens will now manage Co-op’s direct motor insurance book, along with its corporate fleet

The windscreen business will now manage Co-op’s direct motor insurance book, along with its corporate fleet. The contract is expected to result in 20,000 glass repair and replacement jobs yearly, which will be handled by Auto Windscreens’ specialist contact centre and technician workforce, backed up by 24/7 online management information.

The new deal builds a longstanding relationship with the insurer via brokers, where the equivalent of 1% of every policyholder’s glass claim excess has been donated directly to Co-op supported charities, Hope for Justice and British Red Cross.

Co-op’s Andy Johnson commented: “Auto Windscreens impressed us throughout the process with a solution that we believe will create a seamless claims journey for our customers. Having access to data instantly is a huge benefit, giving us a clearer view of claims management and forecasting.”
