Citroën rolls out new well-specced C-Series Edition trim across core models
Citroën has made the C-Series Edition a standard trim level across its core model ranges, focused on value for money and generous equipment levels as standard.
Previously available only to C3 and C3 Aircross buyers – and labelled C-Series – the rebranded grade is now also available on the C4, ë-C4 Electric and C5 Aircross vehicle ranges.
The trim level is tailored specifically for the UK market and was first announced a year ago as part of Citroën’s ‘Fair Pricing’ commitment, offering transparent prices and convenient ways of buying a well-specified new car.
The latest C3 C-Series Edition replaces the previous C-Series and sits above the new entry-level YOU! trim and the Sense grade. It comes as standard with 16-inch alloy wheels, dark-tinted rear windows, as well as a contrasting bi-tone roof in either black or white. As with all C-Series Edition models, the C3 version features an Anodised Bronze Colour Pack with bronze detailing around the front fog lights and Airbump capsules, plus C-Series Edition badging.
Other features include electrically folding door mirrors, as well as rear parking sensors and a reversing camera, plus a seven-inch touchscreen with DAB digital radio, Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
It’s available with either a 1.2-litre PureTech 83 petrol and six-speed manual, or a 1.2-litre PureTech 110 petrol and a six-speed automatic. Prices start at £17,000.
For the C3 Aircross, the C-Series Edition sits just below the Shine trim level, priced from £20,075. Design details added in 16-inch black alloy wheels and dark-tinted rear windows for the exterior, plus a leather-effect wrapped dashboard and leather steering wheel, custom floor mats and Mica Grey upholstery.
Onboard tech includes rear parking sensors, automatic Eco LED headlights and automatic windscreen wipers, and seven-inch touchscreen with DAB digital radio, Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
It’s available with the 1.2-litre PureTech 110 petrol engine and six-speed manual.
The C-Series Edition versions of the C4 and ë-C4 Electric also get standout design features, including 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, which are bi-tone on the C4, along with dark-tinted rear windows and body-coloured bumpers and door handles.
Equipment includes Citroën’s HiFi system and a 10-inch touchscreen, equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as DAB digital radio, Bluetooth connectivity and Citroën Connect Nav with real-time traffic and speed camera updates, along with heating functionality on the leather steering wheel and front seats.
The C4 C-Series Edition can be specified with the 1.2-litre PureTech 130 petrol with six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic, or two diesels – both teaming Citroën’s 1.5-litre BlueHDi four-cylinder unit with either a six-speed manual (BlueHDi 110) or an eight-speed automatic (BlueHDi 130).
Pricing for the ë-C4 Electric C-Series Edition starts from £30,495 (including Plug-in Car Grant), while the C4 C-Series Edition is available from £25,560.
Finally, the new C5 Aircross C-Series Edition tops the range and sits just above the Shine trim level, priced from £29,765. It comes as standard with 19-inch diamond-cut bi-tone alloy wheels and a black bi-tone roof with electrically operated opening panoramic glass sunroof, plus an electronic tailgate with hands-free access.
Inside, there’s a 10-inch capacitive touchscreen equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as sat nav, wireless charging pad and Advanced Comfort Seats. All models also feature Citroën’s Advanced Comfort Suspension with progressive hydraulic cushions.
C5 Aircross C-Series Edition models also get Citroën’s Drive Assist Pack, which includes Active Safety Brake with video and radar assistance, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go.
It’s available with either the plug-in hybrid powertrain, the 1.2-litre PureTech 130 petrol with six-speed manual/eight-speed auto, or the 1.5-litre BlueHDi 130 diesel with the same choice of transmissions.
All C-Series Edition models are available to buy online via the Citroën Store.
