Citroën has introduced a new entry-level trim to its C3 supermini line-up, slashing base pricing to £12,995.

Priced at £12,995, the new C3 YOU! becomes Citroën’s lead-in model, exclusively available with an 83hp 1.2-litre three-cylinder PureTech petrol engine

Introduced on the back of the departure of the C1 city car, the C3 YOU! becomes the brand’s new lead-in model, exclusively available with an 83hp 1.2-litre three-cylinder PureTech petrol engine and targeting city car buyers looking for space for five occupants, a larger boot and a more powerful engine.

Only available via the online Citroën Store, the new model underscores Citroën UK’s ‘Fair Pricing’ policy, launched a year ago and reducing list prices across the entire model line-up as “large discounts and the requirement for haggling are no longer part of the plan”. Previously, the most affordable C3 in the UK range was the ‘Sense’ trim with the same PureTech 83 petrol engine – priced from £16,260.

Eurig Druce, Citroën’s UK managing director, said: “New C3 YOU! – with its starting price from just £12,995 – is inspired by Citroën UK’s on-going commitment to Fair Pricing. This is a brand-new five-door B-segment supermini at a used car price. It’s an offer that represents undeniable value for our customers. Yes, the Citroën C1 has finished its production run, but together Citroën Ami Electric and C3 YOU! combine to offer customers a choice of compact and affordable new vehicles that they can relish.”

All C3 YOU! models come with a full warranty and feature standard equipment including LED headlights, body-coloured bumpers and door handles, Bluetooth connectivity, a five-inch central touchscreen and DAB digital radio.

Safety features bring Hill Start Assist, a video-based lane departure warning system and speed sign recognition, along with a ‘Coffee Break Alert’ function, plus cruise control and speed limiter.

Styling elements include a White Colour Pack, a matt black finish on the B-pillars and chrome around the LED daytime running lights. The C3 YOU! also brings a 300-litre boot, which extends to 992 litres with the rear bench folded down.

The full Citroën C3 model range in the UK now consists of five trim levels: YOU!, Sense, C-Series, Saint James and Shine Plus.
