Cap HPI launches globally under new coding system
Automotive data expert Cap HPI is branching into Europe as part of plans for further global expansion.
The firm’s plans are supported by a new European data set that will underpin its insight and data services with a new global coding system.
The move follows a raft of appointments to strengthen its industry insight team led by Adrian Rushmore who moved to an international operations director role.
Rushmore commented: “Our global operations will have technology at the centre of all data activities, from collection and processing, through to delivery and the development of new applications.
“We have created a global hub in the UK to ensure our systems, coding, data collection processes, and valuation methodologies are consistent, scalable and repeatable for every country that Cap HPI enters in the coming years.”
Cap HPI added that the new code is numeric-based and has been developed to provide a future-proofed platform that enables a wide range of technology-based solutions. It will allow far greater levels of detail and accuracy when describing a model, chassis and powertrain variants.
Matt Thompson, marketing director, said: “We believe a single global code will help the industry drive innovation and growth throughout the vehicle lifecycle. Data-led businesses will be able to scale internationally in a fraction of the time and with much less cost.”
