ATS Euromaster launches app for mobile fleet tyre changes

ATS Euromaster has launched an app that allows drivers to book mobile tyre work on their fleet vehicles.

The new ATS app provides greater visibility and certainty on mobile tyre appointments

It’s believed to be the first publicly available app of its kind and follows nine months of research and live trialling.

ATS already offers mobile tyre fitting but says the new app will enhance the customer experience thanks to the greater visibility and certainty on booking times.

Currently, end-user drivers at the firm’s fleet customers can phone its call centre and manually set up a booking. With the new web app, drivers can choose a slot that meets their own timescales – Emergency or Standard scheduled appointments – and see calendar availability in real time. The driver also gets updates on job progress and ETA via SMS messaging or emails.

Mark Holland, operations director at ATS Euromaster, says: “We are excited to launch this app to our customers because it greatly improves our communication channels and provides a far better experience allowing greater certainty to the fleet driver. No one wants to wait around wondering when a technician will arrive.”

Not only will it enhance the customer experience but the new app will also drive efficiency of ATS Euromaster’s inhouse mobile fleet, allowing it to allocate geographically grouped routes to technicians – it’s already led to a reduction in late-to-arrival jobs and a better efficiency in route planning.

Holland added: “The new app will help take away the stress points for drivers and help make our mobile tyre fitment service more efficient.”

ATS expects the app to account for 50% of its mobile tyre fitting requests in future. The app will also feature an emergency callout facility for tyre failures at the roadside, providing GPS location tracking for the mobile fitter to accurately locate the stranded driver. Currently, emergency callouts represent 30% of its mobile fitting callouts.
