The company says it is working with its parent company – Netherlands-based financing product provider De Lage Landen – towards a more unified customer proposition, domestically as well as internationally, and that the formation of Athlon’s new management team is an important step in achieving this goal.

'The changes in the management team resulted from an internal project re-investigating the structure and organisation of Athlon Car Lease,' said Athlon Car Lease’s president Hans Blink. 'We believe that with the new management team and further organisational changes resulting from the project we will be able to improve the collaboration and efficiency within the total organisation of De Lage Landen and are optimally prepared for the future.'

The new management team, which will assume leadership of the business as of June 2010, will consist of Athlon Car Lease’s president Hans Blink, Paul Harms and Jacq van Roij, who will act as a single decision-making unit for the overall business in the domestic and international markets.

Paul Harms, former general manager of Athlon Car Lease France, Spain and Portugal, will take on the role of the executive vice president Athlon Car Lease Netherlands. Jacq van Roij, previously senior project manager at De Lage Landen, will assume the role of executive vice president of Athlon Car Lease International.

Richard Sikkel, general manager of Athlon Car Lease Netherlands up to now, will in turn join the management team in the role of senior vice president commerce, replacing Valentijn de Jong who becomes senior vice president business development and quality.
