The four-door, four-wheel drive Amarok will headline the Volkswagen stand in Hall 5, at Birmingham’s NEC from 12-14 April, and will be supported by a line-up of nine other models.

Examples of the recently launched Caddy and Caddy Maxi panel vans, Transporter in panel van and kombi form as well as examples of the Crafter panel van and chassis cabs will be joined by the Transporter shuttle and Caravelle people carriers.

In addition to these models will be a fully restored 1954 split-screen "barn-door" Transporter and new Caddy Racer, which will be unveiled by Simon Elliott, director of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, ahead of its debut at the opening round of the 2011 Volkswagen Racing Cup, on 25 April at Oulton Park.

Commenting on returning to the CV Show and the Amarok premiere, Mr Elliott said: ‘Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is proud to be back at this year’s CV Show, which is a very important date in the commercial vehicle calendar. We are extremely excited to finally introduce the Amarok to the UK buyers, showcase the diversity, versatility and competitiveness of our vans and people carriers, and I also cannot wait to see my new Caddy Racer for the first time!’
