Activate Accident Repair opens new Manchester body shop

Activate Accident Repair has opened a new inhouse body shop in Manchester, focused on energy-efficient solutions and strengthening its presence in the north west.

The new site in Manchester includes an EV bay for electric and hybrid vehicles

It’s the company’s fifth inhouse site to open under its hybrid repair network approach, which combines strategically located owned sites with its approved network of 200 repairers, servicing hundreds of thousands of claims a year for its fleet and insurance clients.

Last autumn saw Activate Group announce plans to drive expansion of its Activate Accident Repair division with the appointment of Victoria Turner as CEO and a £15m investment in a mobile repair offering and new sites – focused on historically underserved urban areas.

As with the existing sites, Manchester is purpose built and has received significant investment in energy-efficient infrastructure, processes and technology. This supports Activate Accident Repair with its work on carbon-neutral goals and enables it to repair all vehicle types, including the latest electric and hybrid vehicles.

“Environmental, social and corporate governance is at the top of the agenda for us, and for the wider fleet and insurance industries, which is why we’ve focused heavily on ensuring our body shops deliver for the environment as well as our customers,” said Victoria Turner, CEO of Activate Accident Repair.

“From installing heat recycling paint ovens to integrating green and alternative parts into our supply chain, we’re serious about meeting our net zero carbon target.”
