Activa Contracts has expanded its team of area managers; part of plans gearing up for expansion in 2020.

The contract hire and leasing company – part of the Arnold Clark Group – currently operates a total fleet of around 7,000 company cars and vans, and has said it’s looking to grow its fleet further, although targets have not been revealed yet.

The new recruits are Kay Piggott, area manager for the North East of England; Penny Muchamore, covering Milton Keynes, Northampton and Oxford; and James Davis, responsible for the West Midlands and North Wales.

Piggott brings more than 25 years of senior customer service experience, having worked with major rental and contract hire companies on both cars and commercial vehicles.

Muchamore has almost a decade of automotive industry experience across different sectors, starting off in the retail dealer sector before moving to used vehicle remarketing and financial services and then becoming a senior account manager in the leasing segment.

Davis also has extensive experience in the industry, having been involved with both car and commercial vehicle distribution; most recently specialising in delivering finance solutions to fleet operators

Activa contracts now has 12 area managers, with one further post to be filled in the near future.

All area managers report to national sales manager Sally Lewis, who said: “As a company we need to focus on winning new business and growing the fleet and the new recruits will help us meet our ambitious objectives for the new decade.”
