AA launches mobile servicing solution for fleets and private drivers

The AA has introduced a new on-demand mobile solution, providing fleets and private drivers with vehicle servicing without the need to visit a garage.

The AA’s new ‘Mobile Mechanics’ are able to carry out manufacturer servicing as well as full and interim services at a location of the fleet/driver’s choice

Its new team of ‘Mobile Mechanics’ are able to carry out manufacturer servicing as well as full and interim services at a location of the fleet/driver’s choice – including home or workplaces.

It’s the first time that the AA has offered mobile servicing on a B2B basis, helping to keep vehicles on the road and cut driver downtime.

James Hosking, MD AA Prestige, Autocentres and Garage Services, said: “Our new mobile servicing offer will help drivers keep their show on the road by offering garage-level maintenance away from the repair shop.

“Many drivers don’t have time to go to the garage and often it is difficult to get a loan car, so using AA Mobile Mechanics means we can let people carry on with their day while our experts do all the hard work.”

The product will initially be trialled across Manchester and Birmingham.

Hosking added: “As drivers are keeping their cars longer, it’s more important than ever to have regular servicing as it can prevent breakdowns and a costlier bill further down the line should anything go wrong.

“By constantly innovating and responding to the needs of drivers, we’re providing peace of mind so they can say ‘It’s OK, I’m with the AA.’”
