Car subscription platform Wagonex has appointed Chris Gibbs as head of finance, supporting rapid growth plans.

Chris Gibbs, head of finance at Wagonex

Gibbs joins from the RAC, where he was a senior finance business partner. He has also held roles within the finance function at both GoCompare.com and Arcadis, along with various management roles in accounting and consulting.

In his new role, Gibbs will provide guidance and challenge ways of working to further improve processes and outputs. He will also help identify and prepare for growth opportunities that will help sustain the business’ upward trajectory

It’s the fifth senior appointment in six months as Wagonex continues to rapidly scale. The company also recently announced the recruitment of Joel Livermore and Claude Compere to its product team.

Positioned within both the B2B and B2C car subscription sectors, Wagonex offers an alternative to ownership with a monthly subscription service, in a bid to eliminate long payment plans and unexpected additional costs.

CEO and founder Toby Kernon said: “It’s an exciting time for Wagonex as our internal team continues to grow. We are thrilled to introduce Chris, who has an impressive financial background, as our new head of finance. With his vast knowledge and experience, we are confident that Chris will lead the business towards even greater success.”
