Starting deliveries from spring 2022, the facelifted T-Roc introduces a revised front-end with LED headlights and darkened rear lights as standard, while IQ Lights with LED matrix headlights and illuminated radiator grille strip are available as an option, along with reworked tail light clusters. Five new paint choices are available, plus new alloys up to 19 inches.

The interior also gets a new look, with a particular focus on the dash panel, which now uses a soft-touch material. The new infotainment display – which is either 8.0 or 9.2 inches – is now designed like a tablet and repositioned on the dash panel for clearer visibility.

The digital instrument cluster comes as standard and can be specified at a size of up to 10.25-inches. Design changes have also been made to the multifunction steering wheel, while new door trim materials feature.

The changes have also been carried over to the sporty T-Roc R launched at the end of 2019 and the Cabriolet that arrived in 2020.

Driver assistance tech updates see Front Assist and Lane Assist as standard, and there’s a new IQ. Drive Travel Assist and Predictive Cruise Control functions that enable assisted steering, braking and acceleration at speeds of up to 130mph.

Drivers also benefit from new digital services thanks to the use of the third-generation MIB3 infotainment system. The standard package includes one year’s free use of We Connect Plus services, which enable natural online voice control and streaming services. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functions are available via App-Connect Wireless.

Engine line-up includes three TSI petrol and two TDI diesel engines, with either six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed DSG. The entry-level petrol is the 110hp 1.0-litre three-cylinder TSI, followed by the 150hp 1.5-litre and the 190hp 2.0-litre.

The diesels are both 2.0-litre TDI four-cylinder engines with 115hp and 150hp respectively.

4Motion four-wheel drive is available for the range-topping diesel and standard on the petrol.

Orders for the new T-Roc and new T-Roc Cabriolet start at the end of this week while the new T-Roc R is available from the beginning of the new year.

UK prices and specs will be announced shortly.
