Gil Kelly joins as operations director, bringing over 20 years’ experience in the fleet management industry, while Mark Gerard becomes financial director.

Kelly brings substantial experience in the fleet management industry and previously held the role of director of customer services and operations for Lombard Vehicle Management. He has also held key management and director positions at Lex Vehicle Leasing and Carillion Fleet Management, as well as becoming regional director at Bureau Veritas.

In his new role, he aims to build on Venson's current success and will be looking at internal operations to create opportunities for further growth, supporting the sales team and financial operations.

Joining him is Mark Gerard, who brings significant experience in growing SMEs, working in the financial services and investment sectors on a consultancy level, which will be used to develop and implement strategic direction, assessing potential acquisitions, projects and new markets.

Working closely with Gil Kelly, in Operations, Gerard will focus on maximising new opportunities for Venson, as well as supporting the business through the implementation of reporting structures and financial systems.

Samantha Roff, managing director for Venson Automotive Services, commented: ‘These two appointments are a clear indication of Venson’s commitment to building upon its position as a leading independent leasing and fleet specialist. Gil Kelly is a respected figure within the fleet industry, making him the ideal person to lead the business on to new levels of success. We have plans to diversify into new areas of the fleet sector and Mark’s wider business perspective means we will be in the perfect position to make strategic moves and harness new opportunities to build the business.’
