Vauxhall streamlines model line-up and cuts pricing for Corsa and Mokka

Vauxhall has simplified the Corsa and Mokka model line-ups and cut pricing by up to £3,290 with a new grade structure.

Pricing for the top-spec Corsa Ultimate has been reduced by more than £3,000

The two models – among its most popular vehicles – are now available in Design, GS Line, and Ultimate trims while the fully electric Corsa-e and Mokka-e will be offered in sporty GS Line and Ultimate variants.

This cuts the Corsa model range from 15 models to eight, while the Corsa-e will go from three models to two. The Mokka line-up is reduced from 16 to 11, while Mokka-e will go from four to two.

Vauxhall said the streamlined range structure and price walks between versions brings a clearer choice of models for buyers and makes it easier to understand the value of each version.

In the case of the Corsa, Design models replace previous SE Edition variants and feature the same equipment and technology, but with pricing starting from £17,340 – marking a £500 price reduction over the outgoing model. Standard equipment includes Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist and Speed Sign Recognition, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a 7-inch infotainment screen.

The sporty GS Line trim replaces previous SRi Edition models and also now gains Vauxhall’s 75hp 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine as an entry-level powertrain – cutting starting prices to £19,490. Meanwhile, other GS Line versions see a £1,000 price reduction compared to before.

GS Line features include new 17-inch black wheels that replace the previous 17-inch bi-colour wheels, along with climate control, rear parking sensors and black exterior styling.

Corsa Ultimate variants remain identical to the current Ultimate range, but pricing has been cut to £23,375– a £3,150 saving over the previous line-up. Equipment brings adaptive cruise control, lane positioning assist, IntelliLux Adaptive LED Matrix lights, front parking sensors, panoramic rear-view camera, keyless entry, Alcantara trim and heated seats and steering wheel.

For the Corsa-e, Vauxhall said the streamlined range reflects market demand, with customers preferring higher-specification trim models. Both grades will now come as standard with Vauxhall’s e-toggle shifter, already available on the Mokka-e and replacing the previous ‘cobra’ shifter. The new control allows drivers to select between reverse, neutral and drive, while a Brake (B) button allows drivers to increase energy recovery via the regenerative braking technology.

Both the GS Line and Ultimate Corsa-e models retain identical equipment and technology levels to their outgoing trims, with prices remaining the same at £27,055 and £29,660 after the current Plug-in Car Grant.

In the case of the petrol and diesel versions of the Mokka, the line-up starts from entry-level Design which is identical to outgoing SE Edition variants, but now also available with a 130hp 1.2-litre six-speed manual and a 130hp 1.2-litre eight-speed automatic. Entry pricing remains at £22,265 and standard features include lane departure warning and lane keep assist, cruise control, automatic lights and wipers, LED headlights and tail lights, twin 7-inch screens and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Mokka GS Line models replace outgoing SRi Premium variants and start from £24,640 OTR – £1,500 lower than before. The package includes two-tone styling with 18-inch bi-colour alloy wheels, black roof and mirrors and sports bodykit. Climate control, keyless start and power-folding door mirrors, rear parking sensors and the upgraded Pure Panel with 10-inch driver and 12-inch infotainment screens.

The Mokka Ultimate is now available with a 130hp 1.2-litre six-speed manual option and priced from £28,825. The equipment list introduces Alcantara seat trim and includes keyless entry and start, IntelliLux LED matrix adaptive headlights, advanced park assist, blind spot alert, adaptive cruise control and lane positioning assist.

Orders for the revised Corsa and Mokka model ranges are now open, with first customer deliveries expected from August.
