Vauxhall drops Corsa Electric price with new Yes Edition

Vauxhall has launched a new special edition Corsa Electric, offering cheaper entry to fully electric motoring.

The new Corsa Electric Yes Edition is priced from £26,895, lowering the entry point to the Corsa Electric line-up by £5,550 compared to the Corsa Electric Design 136hp.

It’s available solely with the 136hp powertrain seen in the standard Corsa, featuring a 136hp motor and a 50kWh battery, giving a WLTP range of 221 miles and able to be recharged from 0-80% in 30 minutes from a 100kW rapid charger.

Vauxhall also launched a longer-range Corsa Electric last year, with a more powerful 156hp electric motor and a larger 51kWh battery, giving a WLTP range of 255 miles, but that’s not available for this new model.

Standout styling features include exclusive Record Red paint, contrasting black roof and badging, while Arctic White, Carbon Black or Graphic Grey paint choices are also available.

The interior comes with sports-style front seats with red accents, plus Vauxhall’s multimedia infotainment system, which includes a 10-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, alongside a seven-inch digital instrument cluster and Vauxhall Connect.

Yes Edition models also feature automatic lights and wipers, climate control, LED headlights and daytime running lights, high beam assist, keyless entry and start, rear parking sensors, electric front and rear windows.

Driver assistance tech includes lane departure warning with lane keep assist, speed sign recognition, driver drowsiness alert, cruise control with speed limiter and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection.

Vauxhall is also carrying over its new offer of one year’s free EV charging at Tesco for all new electric retail customers.

The Corsa Electric Yes Edition is exclusively available to order online from 17 April with deliveries from May onwards.
