The Luton-based manufacturer has sold over 12,000 cars so far this year north of the border and well over 2,000 last month alone, making Vauxhall comfortably the top-selling manufacturer in Scotland in September and year-to-date.  Twice as many Vauxhall’s were registered last month in Scotland than its nearest rival.

The Corsa is Scotland’s best-selling car and the Astra, British-Built at Vauxhall’s Ellesmere Port plant, and the Zafira MPV topped their respective segments both in September and at year-to-date.  The Insignia is number one in its segment at so far this year.

'We are delighted to be Scotland’s biggest selling car manufacturer and very happy with the Corsa’s supremacy in what is a highly important market for us,' said Gordon Hannen, Vauxhall’s Regional Operations manager for Scotland.

Buoyed by a unique Lifetime Warranty that provides first owners with the reassurance of comprehensive cover for however long they own the car, Vauxhall has been the market leader in Scotland for the last five years.  Vauxhall is the lead sponsor of the Scotland National Football Team.

September was also an excellent month for Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles. Vauxhall sold more vans in the UK to small businesses than any other manufacturer.
