Priced from £23,965 and available in Life, Style and R-Line trims, the small SUV now gains a new-look front and rear with integrated LED headlights, LED daytime running lights and LED tail-light clusters. It’s also available with Volkswagen’s IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights for the first time.

The interior comes with a free-standing infotainment display featuring an 8.0-inch touchscreen as standard and 9.2-inch on the top-of-the-range version. The dash panel has been revamped with soft-upholstered and high-quality surface materials – as in larger Volkswagen models – which are also carried over to the front door trims of the Style and R-Line versions.

As before, the T-Cross features a rear bench seat able to move fore and aft by 140mm, giving a luggage capacity of between 385 and 455 litres, rising to 1,281 litres with the rear seats folded.

Volkswagen has also increased the towbar load of the T-Cross from 55 to 75kg and added in Travel Assist as standard.

Other equipment additions include the new LED headlights and LED tail light clusters, Dynamic Road Sign Display, the Digital Cockpit and the free-standing infotainment display – which are standard on all versions.

Engine line-up is carried over and comprises a 1.0-litre TSI petrol in three different states of tune. The entry-level 95hp unit comes with a five-speed manual, while the 115hp model offers either a six-speed manual or seven-speed DSG. The range-topping 150hp TSI petrol comes solely with the DSG.
