TrustFord is using its mobile vans to support NHS, frontline and essential workers

The vehicles are normally used for large fleet needs, but have been switched to supporting NHS, frontline and essential workers struggling to reach their local site.

It means the company’s fleet of mobile vans can now reach essential front line and individual needs from the hubs in Kent, Dagenham, Heathrow, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Yorkshire & Northern Ireland.

TrustFord has also committed to doing its best to offer appointments to fit around hectic schedules during the crisis.

The company is also using selected Parts Plus hubs to reach out to NHS community nursing units to offer free disposable seat covers to help keep their staff safe; it’s offering 10,000 free covers via the sites.

The latest initiatives build on the firm’s existing work to fast-track essential fleet vehicle orders while the aftersales team has been actively supporting customers onsite to keep key workers on the road since the crisis started.

TrustFord’s chairman and CEO, Stuart Foulds said: “It seemed logical to also mobilise our servicing units to reach those who cannot easily visit a site. The idea to give away free disposable seat covers came through an appeal my wife spotted and I was delighted that our Parts Plus team was able to source some to give away. We will continue to support and look for ways to support those in essential roles at this critical time.”
