The new Toyotas will be used by the company’s field-based area managers and were chosen for their hybrid credentials as well as quality, styling and equipment.

TSS finance director Jamie Caplin said: “As we invest in our national infrastructure, it is vital that our vehicle fleet continues to meet our business requirements.

“We were very impressed that the emissions are 87g/km of CO2, a figure which ensures a lower Benefit-in-Kind tax rate for our own people. This along with the high specifications of the vehicles will help to make journeys for our area managers both safer and more comfortable. The Toyota Touch 2 with Go also provides online services and satellite navigation which is highly beneficial for our field team to help with dynamic journey planning, which in turn supports our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint.”
