Tokyo Motor Show: Lexus to show hybrid sports coupe & turbo crossover

By / 11 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

The two-door four-seater RC coupe shows the new Lexus styling, with a new version of the spindle grille along with triangular headlamps with a three-lamp LED design. There's a choice of two wheel designs, with a 10-spoke 19-inch wheel and a 5-spoke 18-inch version. Inside, there’s a novel lighting feature that reflects upwards and seats that use a similar moulding construction to racing seats.

The line-up will include the RC 350, with a 3.5-litre V6 engine; and the RC 300h hybrid, with a 2.5-litre unit.

The RC measures 4,695mm long, 1,840mm wide and 1,395mm high, with a 2,730mm wheelbase.

Lexus says the new model is designed 'to raise the brand’s profile with a wider audience and customers who are new to Lexus' whilst also focusing on the brand's fundamental attributes of build quality, refinement and reliability.

Tokyo will also see the latest version of the Lexus LF-NX luxury compact crossover first revealed at the Frankfurt motor show in September and now featuring a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine.
