Sogo marks third anniversary with record growth

Flexible car and van leasing firm Sogo has marked its third anniversary by reporting record growth.

Sogo managing director Karl Howkins

The mobility specialist has signed 30,000 lease contracts over the last 12 months – up 10% on the previous year and representing a new milestone.

Sogo, founded by former Citroën UK managing director Karl Howkins to drive the green motoring transition, has also grown its corporate and SME customer base by 12%.

Howkins said the focus on sustainable mobility was proving popular with companies and fleets of all sizes.

“Sogo’s model allows companies to be flexible around the operational requirements and still meet their sustainability targets.

“We’ve seen rapid growth in the number of PHEVs on our fleet as customer demand changes, and we expect this to continue to increase into 2024 as more MHEVs and HEVs come to market.”

Sogo recently achieved the Scope 3 emissions accounting and reporting standard, making it one of the first in the mobility sector to do so. Its services are designed with an ultra-flexible approach, to make moving to a zero- or ultra low-emission vehicle easy – the company has seen an 80% decrease in the number of diesel vehicles in its fleet as customers choose hybrid and BEV options.

Sogo also supports customers who can’t go electric yet, helping them to measure, reduce and offset their carbon emissions.

Howkins concluded: “We continue to invest in new technology to help our customers manage their journey to net zero. It’s easier than ever to change vehicles on a monthly basis and choose the most appropriate and lowest emission vehicle.”
