Sogo grows number of SME fleet customers 92.4%

Mobility specialist Sogo has increased its number of SME fleet customers by 92.4% in the last 12 months on the back of growing business demand for flexibility.

Sogo MD Karl Howkins said SMEs were increasingly reluctant to sign lengthy leases due to the threat of recession

The flexible leasing firm has invested in developing its offer to small businesses – an approach that has seen corporate customers grow from 56% to 89% of revenue in the last 12 months.

Karl Howkins, managing director, said small businesses were increasingly reluctant to sign lengthy leases due to the threat of recession.

“Feedback from customers tells us that company directors value the freedom that flexible leasing brings. It also keeps the asset off the balance sheet, which can be a big benefit when the economy tightens.”

The business has also focused on helping its customers make the transition to net zero and believes that an ultra-flexible approach will help more people move to EVs faster than ever before.

It’s launched a salary sacrifice scheme for monthly leasing to speed up the process by making an EV more affordable. Sogo has also developed a package of measures to help motorists enjoy running their EVs and launched a carbon offsetting scheme with BP for those who can’t yet make the switch.

Howkins concluded: “Sogo’s commitment to green mobility has also helped drive corporate business growth as it solves an important problem in their journeys to net zero. A flexible, monthly leasing offer allows companies to try different EVs to find the most suitable vehicle.”
