SMH Fleet Solutions has appointed Mark Elliott as head of inspection services, as it focuses on future growth plans.

The business, part of Arctos Holdings Group which includes Hudson Kapel and CD Auction Group, provides a number of services to end-user fleets as well as leasing and rental firms and vehicle manufacturers.

Mark Elliot joins the firm with 25 years of experience in the automotive repair sector. He previously headed up inspections at Manheim, as well as holding a senior position at BCA. He was also chairman of the National Association of Motor Auctions grading committee and helped support training initiatives at the BVRLA.

Simon Withey, commercial director at SMH Fleet Solutions, said of Elliot’s appointment: “He has a vast level of experience which we shall put to very good use as we continue to grow the business and attract more customers. His contributory work on our ground-breaking inspection management system, Techinspect, will be particularly important.”
