The Yeti will be used by dog handler Duncan Carmichael to transport highly trained fire investigation dog, Billy, as they attend the aftermath of suspicious blazes to collect evidence.

As well as assisting fire investigators and police in identifying arson and ensuring that evidence is properly recovered to assist in prosecution, the duo also attend schools, open days and other public events to promote fire safety.

The Yeti 1.6 TDi 103bhp GreenLine has been fitted by Engineering Vehicle Options (EVO) with features such as a kennel drainage system, 41’ Premier Hazard Lightbar, air conditioning, public warning equipment and a range of kit storage solutions.

Designed to meet the Dog Handler‘s express specification, the Yeti will comfortably transport Duncan Carmichael and Billy to fire scenes right across across Scotland and the north of England.

Carmicheal said: ‘The role Billy plays is of vital importance, and this ŠKODA Yeti will ensure that he travels in safety and comfort.’

Alan Barrowman, area fleet manager Scotland & Northern England for Skoda UK, added: ‘We are proud to support Duncan and Billy the fire dog in the invaluable work that they do for their community. As well as being safe and reliable, this vehicle provides excellent value for money, impressive comfort for the handler and a safe environment for Billy.’
