Skoda uplifts specs for Fabia, Scala and Kamiq

Škoda is boosting equipment across its Fabia, Scala and Kamiq ranges, delivering enhanced value for drivers.

All three compact models now get new Edition grades that deliver extra equipment worth up to £1,900 for a £150 uplift in prices.

The uplifted Scala hatch and Kamiq crossover, already recently upgraded in a mid-life revamp, now also gain a 9.2-inch navigation display and 10.25-inch driver display as standard, compared to the previous 8.25- and 8.0-inch screens.

Changes for the Fabia supermini introduce a new four-grade structure, spanning SE Edition, Design Edition, SE L Edition and Monte Carlo Edition designations and including extra kit across all.

The entry-level SE Edition grades is priced from £19,880 and gains new keyless start/stop, cruise control, dual-zone climate control and electric rear windows as standard.

It’s followed by the new Design Edition, priced from £20,680. The replacement to the Fabia Colour Edition, it carries over all the previous spec and adds in metallic paint, corner front fog lights, electric folding door mirrors, dual-zone climate control, rain assist and auto-dimming rear-view mirror.

Next up is the Fabia SE L Edition, which replaces the previous SE L grade and adds a rear-view camera, corner fog lights, rain assist and electric folding door mirrors to the standard specification. It starts from £22,165.

The range-topping Monte Carlo Edition version gets the biggest boost in specification, gaining a 9.2-inch navigation display with three-year care connect and infotainment online subscription, voice control, full LED headlights and front parking sensors along with a rear-view camera. Driver mode selection and keyless entry are also now part of the standard specification, along with all features from the SE Edition. It’s priced from £23,115.

The updated Scala and Kamiq ranges get a similar specification boost across their new three-grade line-up, which spans SE Edition, SE L Edition and Monte Carlo Edition versions.

The entry-level SE Edition now includes metallic paint, rear-view camera, 10.25-inch multimedia screen, 9.2-inch navigation display with three-year care connect and infotainment online subscription, and voice control. It’s priced from £22,255 for the Scala and £24,190 for the Kamiq.

New SE L Edition models replace the previous SE L versions, adding metallic paint, heated front seats, rear-view camera, front parking sensors, keyless entry and drive mode selection. The Scala SE L Edition starts from £24,055, with a price tag of £27,335 for the Kamiq model.

The new Monte Carlo Edition flagship throws in metallic paint, heated three-spoke sports steering wheel, heated front sports seats, adaptive cruise control, wireless phone charging and front parking sensors – all options on the previous Monte Carlo grade. The Scala Monte Carlo Edition starts at £27,995 and the Kamiq Monte Carlo Edition is from £29,345.

Engine line-up features VW Group’s new Evo2 generation engines and includes 95hp and 116hp 1.0 TSI petrols and a 150hp 1.5 TSI petrol unit.

All new Edition models open for order on 19 September, with first deliveries expected by the end of the year.
