Under the agreement, Ctrack will install its vehicle tracking technology as part of a fleet management initiative designed to increase productivity, reduce operating costs and enhance the service provided to Al Fahhad’s public sector customers within Saudi Arabia.

Tracking units will initially be fitted to 860 vehicles used to service a waste management contract for Riyadh Municipality including street cleansing and refuse collection. The solution will help Al Fahhad achieve optimum fleet performance by minimising overheads such as fuel, whilst ensuring all mobile assets and employees are best utilised within the company’s operation.

Ctrack will support the technology solution by providing a consultancy service that will offer detailed analysis of data to ensure that the business and operational benefits are being realised. The solution will incorporate Fleet Aware, which examines the information captured by the tracking system to identify areas of fleet improvement and outline recommendations to improve performance.

Al Fahhad is also setting up the Vehicle Management Group that will offer a range of managed services to its existing customer base, as well as support future business development. This initiative will draw upon Ctrack’s vehicle tracking expertise and unrivalled service offering.

Khaled S. Al-Hussain, general manager at Al Fahhad, commented: 'We investigated leading telematics providers across Europe and the Middle East and were impressed by Ctrack’s experience in the UK public sector. Ctrack demonstrated its ability to deliver a bespoke solution that not only incorporates industry-leading technology, but also high levels of support including all installation, integration and training requirements.'
