Roy Brannen becomes new chief executive for Transport Scotland
Brannen, currently director of trunk roads and bus operations at Transport Scotland, will take up the post in early November. He succeeds current chief executive David Middleton CBE, who is shortly leaving Transport Scotland on secondment to take up the chief executive role at Historic Environment Scotland. Brannen has worked in Transport Scotland and Transport Directorate since joining the then Scottish Executive in 1999.
