Richard Hill becomes CEO of Drive iQ

Drive iQ has appointed Richard Hill as chief executive officer with immediate effect.

As co-founder of the driver education and road safety solutions firm, Hill will lead the business through the launch of the new Smarter Driving programme, aiming to grow both the domestic client base and move into the international markets.

Hill commented: “I am absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to lead the business forward at such and exciting and interesting time, especially our expansions into the global market. Mobility and technology is changing all the time, but we must not lose sight of the driver. Through our market leading solutions we are on hand to assist individuals and businesses to ensure their journeys remain safe, sustainable and of course, enjoyable.”

Co-founder Nicholas Rowley will assume responsibility for the company’s strategic direction as CSO. Rowley with help to build the international business and ensure that the product range remains constantly relevant in the fast-moving mobility sector.

Drive iQ has also appointed Sam Hill as chief product officer. Sam has overseen the development of the new Smarter Driving programme and now assumes responsibility for both the product and user engagement, in a combined role which will reflect client needs and wants in the content made available.

Drive iQ was founded in 2016 and the people instrumental in building the business from its earliest days remain directors.

Its latest solution is the Smarter Driving product suite, which combines road safety education and personal wellbeing in one solution.

Created in collaboration with leading experts across various fields, Smarter Driving recognises the links between personal wellbeing, task performance and road safety – which Drive iQ says is vital to create a culture of informed, prepared, aware and focused road use.
