Renault has revised its Arkana line-up for the 2022 model year while also enhancing the Clio and Captur with a new E-Tech trim.

The changes to the Arkana coupé-SUV revamp the trim levels to a four-grade line-up consisting of Evolution, Techno, R.S. Line and E-Tech Engineered versions, each intended to have their own distinctive character and priced from £26,695.  

Evolution replaces the previous Iconic and includes 17-inch Bahamas alloy wheels, full LED headlights with C-shaped LED light signature both front and rear, dark grey skid plates, and tinted rear windows and tailgate.  

Standard equipment includes a 7-inch colour driver display, 7-inch Easy Link infotainment touchscreen with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic headlights and wipers, automatic air con, electronic parking brake, rear parking sensors and rear-view camera.  

Safety and driver aids bring Renault’s Active Emergency Braking System, traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning with lane keep assist, hill start assist, and cruise control with speed limiter.  The Evolution is available with either the mild hybrid 140 petrol or the E-Tech Hybrid 145, priced from £26,695 and £27,995.

The mid-range Techno builds on the previous S Edition and features wireless smartphone charger, 10-inch driver display, 9.3-inch Easy Link touchscreen with navigation, Google search and traffic information. It also gets design tweaks such as exterior chrome detailing, 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, extra-tinted rear windows and tailgate, and grey-coloured skid plates.  

Interior features include a height-adjustable front passenger seat, three driving modes, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, automatic high/low beam, electronic parking brake with auto-hold function, plus traffic sign recognition with overspeed prevention, blind spot warning, and rear cross traffic alert.  The Techno is available with either the mild hybrid petrol or the hybrid, priced from £28,695 and £29,995.

The R.S. Line comes solely with the mild hybrid, priced at £31,095, and has a sporty theme, featuring 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, a bespoke front bumper with honeycomb grille, gun metal skid plates, chromed exhaust tailpipes, and R.S. Line badging.   

Interior updates bring R.S. Line sport leather and suede upholstery with red stitching, carbon-style dashboard, aluminium pedals, black roof lining, a heated perforated leather steering wheel, heated electrically adjustable front seats, frameless rear-view mirror, and hands-free parking.  

The Arkana range also gets a new E-Tech Engineered trim, solely available with the hybrid and adding in bespoke 18-inch E diamond-cut alloy wheels with gold highlights, a front bumper with gold detailing, and front and rear skid plates. The gold detailing is continued through to the interior, which also gets a heated leather steering wheel, electrically adjustable and heated front seats in leather and suede upholstery carbon-style dashboard, aluminium pedals, a frameless rear-view mirror, hands-free parking, and adaptive cruise control. It’s priced from £32,695.

The striking new E-Tech Engineered trim level is also now available on the recently updated Clio and Captur, positioned as a new premium specification that replaces the R.S. Line trim for the hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains and priced from £23,795 and £28,395 respectively. 

These get 17- and 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels with gold detailing, black Renault logos front and rear, E-Tech Engineered electric gold styling on the sports front and rear bumpers, rear spoiler, door sill side trims, and E-Tech Engineered body markings with gold detailing.  

As with the Arkana, both the Captur and Clio gain E-Tech Engineered upholstery with contrasting gold stitching, gold detailing on the steering wheel, gear shifter, and dashboard air vents, plus a dark roof lining and aluminium pedals.
