Reflex Vehicle Hire equips entire fleet with telematics in Teletrac Navman deal

Commercial vehicle hire specialist Reflex is kitting out its entire fleet with telematics tech under a tie-up with Teletrac Navman.

Reflex said the partnership with Teletrac Navman will transform its fleet operations

The deal will transform its fleet operations, capturing vital insights and bringing numerous customer benefits too, including risk management and optimised driver behaviour.

A trial period has already shown that Teletrac Navman’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered TN360 telematics delivers real-time data to unlock greater compliance, efficiency and productivity benefits for fleet operations.

With the system linking to the ECU (electronic control unit) of the vehicle to provide accurate mileage, fault codes and speed, this will benefit the customer by identifying issues and resolving them efficiently.

The move will also play a vital role in Reflex’s Road to Zero strategy. The data provided by the system forms a huge part of the fleet analysis that underpins its recently launched EV:IE service, which supports the move to an electric fleet.

The package includes Teletrac Navman’s dashboard camera solution. This enables the integration of cameras with tracking software, allowing Reflex to combine consistent and accurate driver behaviour data with video footage in a single platform, without using multiple systems.

André Pardal, head of IT at Reflex Vehicle Hire, said the tie-up with Teletrac Navman had already delivered a large number of benefits to operations.

“We are already seeing a positive impact in driver behaviour, alongside vehicle maintenance checks helping with cost efficiencies in the face of the current supply chain challenges. The entire Reflex team are excited to see how our partnership can continue to thrive and how we can future proof our fleet.”

Peter Millichap, marketing director at Teletrac Navman, added: “We are excited to be partnering with Reflex Vehicle Hire and are proud to work with them as a distributor, enabling their customers to receive bespoke telematics-powered packages which can support with road safety, driver behaviour and operational efficiencies. It’s an exciting time for the business as they further digitise their operations to meet the highest driver and vehicle standards, and we’ll do everything we can to support them on the journey.”
