More than 10.3m journeys have been made using the scheme in 2017 – with a total of more than 67m journeys since the scheme was launched in July 2010.
This year has also seen the scheme updated with bikes from Pashley Cycles that feature a new design for improved handling, safety and comfort as well as improved front and rear lighting, Bluetooth and the capacity for GPS technology.
Meanwhile in 2018 Santander Cycles will extend into Brixton, with seven new docking stations, providing space for up to 200 bikes.
