Pocket Box appoints chief operating officer

Vehicle and driver management software specialist Pocket Box has appointed Jason Laight as its chief operating officer.

Jason Leight, COO at Pocket Box

Laight will support plans for rapid growth over the next 12 months, playing a key role in the development of the firm’s software-and app-based ecosystem for the fleet, road transport and automotive sectors.

Its newly launched fleet management tool is designed to help SMEs streamline fleet-related tasks and processes to ensure vehicles are kept road legal and safe, while staff are fit and eligible to drive.

Laight will be tasked with working across the business to enhance the company’s multi-channel proposition; increasing data integrations with complementary fleet and automotive software solutions; and generating customer demand.

He brings more than 20 years of experience in telematics, workforce applications and software development, primarily in the fleet, transport and employee management sectors. Most recently, he was head of partnerships at Inseego UK, formerly Ctrack UK & Ireland, where he was responsible for developing the company’s indirect sales channel. Prior to this, he has held senior management roles at Fieldmotion, Romexworld and Cybit.

Laight commented: “I am looking forward to working with our team, partners and customers to help develop sophisticated vehicle and driver management solutions. We are creating a single-entry point to manage a growing number of fleet applications and third-part automotive services. This unique ecosystem will enable Pocket Box to take advantage of opportunities within target sectors.”
