Available for first customer deliveries from 19th June, the brand’s latest C-segment estate builds on the “European Car of the Year” 308 in four key areas of design, efficiency / functionality, driving experience and quality.

The new model offers capacious boot space, with 660-litres under the parcel shelf or 1,660 litres with the seats folded, trumping rivals such as the Volkswagen Golf and Ford Focus estates.

From launch the new 308 SW will be available with four petrol and five HDi diesel engines, all said to offer class-leading fuel economy and low CO2 emissions.

The line-up includes Peugeot’s new PureTech 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which offers a choice of 110 or 130bhp. Also available will be BlueHDi models, including a segment-leading engine with emissions of 85g/km in the SW, plus the brand’s latest six-speed automatic gearboxes.

The 308 SW uses Peugeot’s EMP2 chassis with new low-weight suspension components making it 140kg lighter compared to predecessors whilst improving handling.

Four trim levels are offered – Access, Active, Allure and Feline – and offer entry-level features LED daytime running lights, air con, electric “one touch” front windows, cruise control with speed limiter and DAB digital radio, USB connection and Bluetooth connectivity. The top-spec Feline features 18-inch alloys, panoramic Cielo glass roof and tinted rear side windows, along with Alcantara trimmed sports seats and passenger lumbar support, the Peugeot Open & Go keyless entry system and Driver Assistance Pack along with Dynamic Cruise Control, Emergency Collision Alert and Emergency Collision Braking System.

Prices start at £16,845 for the PureTech 1.2-litre e-THP 110 5-speed manual with Stop-Start (109g/km) in Access trim and rise to £25,145 for the 2.0-litre BlueHDi 150 6-speed automatic with Stop-Start (107g/km) in Feline trim.
