Peter Bell joins Manheim as managing director

Manheim has named Peter Bell as its new managing director following the departure of Tim Hudson.

Bell joins Manheim from Jaguar Land Rover where he held the role of global financial services director. Prior to this, he was chief operating officer at Volkswagen Financial Services.

Bell said: “My focus will be on helping our customers to grow their businesses using Manheim’s comprehensive offering, as it is the only remarketing business in the UK that offers complete end-to-end value creating solutions and is uniquely placed to offer its customers a forward-thinking remarketing service.”

In addition, Martin Forbes has been named new UK chief executive officer (CEO) at parent firm Cox Automotive, effective 1 July 2018, when existing CEO, Michael Buxton, transitions to the role of chief operating officer (COO) for Cox Automotive’s International operations. Forbes is managing director of Modix, incadea and Motors.co.uk and is also currently serving in an expanded role as COO of Cox Automotive UK while transitioning to the CEO position.

Forbes continued: “The Manheim business will continue to be a major focus for growth in 2018. We have clear plans to make wholesale stock management smarter and simpler for manufacturers, leasing companies and dealers. We have the right team to deliver this – there is an incredible depth of knowledge in the Manheim team and a true understanding of our customers’ needs.”
