The top 10 hot spots for parking tickets have been revealed, as new research finds more than 2.7 million parking tickets have been handed out in the last three years.

The analysis by UK Carline finds that motorists in Brent, Croydon and Bristol are most likely to be hit with parking tickets – in Brent alone over half a million have been issued since 2014, costing motorists more than £53k in total.
Saturday was found to be the worst day overall for fines, with councils issuing 430,035 Saturday parking tickets in the three-year period – 3% higher than the average weekday (417,456 fines).
And although Brits are 44% less likely to be fined on a Sunday than on an average weekday, traffic wardens still issued 235,584 Sunday tickets throughout the three years.
