Nissan Primastar and Interstar pricing revealed
Nissan has announced pricing and specification details for its new Primastar and Interstar panel vans, which are available from £24,990 and £26,990 (excl. VAT) respectively.
Revealed earlier this autumn, the new arrivals combine with the Townstar compact van due next year to make up the manufacturer’s new-look LCV line-up.
The Primastar sits above the Townstar and effectively replaces the NV300 as the brand’s mid-size option.
As with the NV300, it will be available in a range of body types, lengths and heights; all conceived to offer low running costs, generous load space and smart features, as well as Nissan’s range-wide five-year/100,000-mile pan-European warranty and five years’ roadside assistance.
Reworked as well as rebranded, the new Interstar comes with a dynamic new look including interlock grille, LED headlamps and reconfigured daytime running lights.
Four trim levels are offered: Visia, Acenta, Tekna and Tekna+.
Priced from £24,990, Visia trim-level vehicles include remote central door locking, an AM/FM/DAB audio system with Bluetooth telephone integration, alarm, cruise control with speed limiter, and LED front headlights.
Next in the range, Acenta trim level vehicles start at £26,390 and add in air con, rear parking sensors, automatic wipers and headlights, passenger airbag and front fog lights.
Tekna-grade Primastars, priced from £27,490, feature an eight-inch touchscreen with sat nav, Android Auto and Apple Carplay, 17-inch alloy wheels, a rear view camera, electrically folding mirrors and front parking sensors.
Top-of-the range vans in Tekna+ specification – available from £28,240 – come with lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, blind spot detection, intelligent emergency braking, auto high/low beam headlights plus keyless entry.
It’s powered by a suite of fully Euro 6d-compliant engines, available with either manual or dual-clutch automatic transmissions.
Sitting above the Primastar, the new Interstar is the successor to the NV400 and offers up to 17m3 of cargo space – that’s up to five Euro pallets – or 22m3 with the box van conversion. It also features a low floor and wide-opening doors that make it easy to load items up to 4.4 metres in length.
The line-up also includes a dropside single/double cab or tipper factory conversions and can be supplied as a chassis single/double cab or platform cab for more specific conversions, while Interstar crew vans are also available, priced from £31,990.
Grade levels replicate those of the Interstar and start with the Visia trim, priced from £26,990 and including a driver’s seat with longitudinal and height adjustment plus lumbar support, nearside sliding door, full steel bulkhead, alarm, 50:50 split 180-degreeunglazed rear doors and an FM/DAB radio with Bluetooth telephone integration.
Next up, and priced from £27,840, is the Acenta trim level Interstar with standard equipment such as rear parking sensors (on vans and crew vans), cruise control, one-touch driver’s window, soundproofing trim on the bulkhead, a 12V socket in the load compartment of vans/crew vans and a passenger airbag.
Tekna-badged models start from £29,040 and gain manual air con, front fog lights, plus automatic wipers and headlights. Other updates bring front parking sensors and a rear-view camera, along with a seven-inch touchscreen NissanConnect system with satnav, Android Auto and Apple Carplay.
Top-of-the range Interstars in Tekna+ specification – available from £29,540 – throw in lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, blind spot detection, auto high/low beam headlights and keyless entry.
Powertrain line-up brings an extended range of engines with seven power outputs, from the newly introduced 110hp unit up to 180hp, all based on a 2.3-litre engine updated to the latest Euro 6d and Euro VIe standards.
