New Dacia Jogger seven-seat MPV: Pricing and specs revealed

Dacia’s new family-friendly and value-focused Jogger seven-seat MPV is now available to pre-order, priced from £14,995 and with a hybrid version due 2023.

Effectively replacing the Lodgy MPV, it’s the latest new model to join the brand’s line-up, following the recent launch of the latest Sandero supermini and the Duster SUV.

It’s based on the same CMF-B platform as the new Sandero – and also the Clio under the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance – but with a rear module that extends the car’s length to just over 4.5m, making it the longest model in the Dacia range.

Designed to blend the practicality of an estate, the spaciousness of an MPV and the styling of an SUV, it comes as standard as a seven-seater with seating arranged in three rows and able to be configured into one of more than 60 options.

Boot space stands at 213 litres, rising to 712 litres with the third-row seats folded and 1,819 litres DM3 VDA with the second row down and the third row removed. The boot also comes

with four lashing rings, three load hooks and elastic straps for load securing, while modular roof rails can accommodate anything from skis to mountain bikes and come with 80kg load capacity.

The Jogger also has a further 24 litres of storage space in the cabin. Second-row seats are equipped with a 12V socket and Isofix child-seat mounts, along with cupholders and fold-down tray tables.

The sole powertrain in the UK from launch will be Dacia’s brand-new TCe 110hp 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, equipped with Stop & Start and two-wheel drive as standard and coupled to a six-speed manual transmission. WLTP CO2 is 132g/km and WLTP combined cycle fuel economy runs from 47.1 to 49.6mpg. However, a hybrid will follow in 2023, thanks to the Alliance architecture, which lends itself to electrification.

Three trim levels are available – Essential, Comfort and Extreme SE – with only metallic paint and a spare wheel available as an option.

The entry-level Essential includes manual air con, cruise control with speed limiter, rear parking sensors, automatic headlights, front fog lights, electric front windows, Automatic Emergency Braking System (AEBS) and Dacia’s Media Control, which uses drivers’ smartphones to replace an integrated multimedia system.

From £16,595, the Jogger Comfort adds in the modular roof rails, body-colour door handles, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, automatic wipers, rear parking sensors with reversing camera, and Dacia’s 16-inch ‘Flex’ pseudo-alloy steel wheels. The Comfort trim also updates the interior trim and introduces electric parking brake, keyless entry, automatic air con, blind spot warning, and an 8-inch Media Display system with two USB ports and smartphone mirroring, including both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

At £17,395, the limited-edition Extreme SE introduces 16-inch alloy wheels in a black finish, and both front and rear parking sensors with reversing camera. The interior gains heated front seats, special floor and cargo mats, and Dacia’s Media Nav system with built-in navigation and wireless smartphone mirroring.

Deliveries are expected to start in the first half of 2022.
