Meridian commits to supply ‘almost any car’ on medium-term rental service

Meridian Vehicle Solutions has expanded its medium-term rental service to supply “almost any car” in response to customer demand.

Phil Jerome, managing director at Meridian Vehicle Solutions

Although the company has historically operated using a defined range of models, similar to a short-term rental company, on 6-12 month contracts, managing director Phil Jerome says the business is seeing increasing number of companies asking for specific models: either to fit in with existing company car scheme structures or to enable people, often running their own business, to try a particular model.

Jerome added: “We’re qualifying our offer slightly by saying that we will provide ‘almost any car’. At the end of the day, we are essentially in the business of supplying medium-term rental cars to fleets, and we don’t deal in exotica. However, when it comes to everyday models, we are happy to quote and then supply whatever the customer may want.”

He added: “While we expect our standard range to very much remain the core of our business, the ‘supply to order’ element has definite potential and we expect it to grow quite substantially over the remainder of the year and into 2020.”
