Masternaut provides fleet guidance on final GDPR checks
Masternaut has published a new guide for fleet managers, providing advice on the final checks needed to be GDPR ready.
Recent Masternaut research found 47% of fleets are unprepared for GDPR.
Published with just over a month to go until the new European legislation takes effect on 25 May, the guide – which can be accessed here – is authored by Djamel Souici, general counsel and chief legal officer for Masternaut and sets out the scope of the legislation, the lawful basis for processing information and when consent is not needed on information.
The research follows a recent poll of fleet managers carried out by Masternaut, which revealed that only 20% of respondents were confident they would be fully compliant with the GDPR by the 25 May. A total of 47% reported that they have a long way to go or have just started preparing.
