Major SMR investment slashes downtime for BT Fleet Solutions’ clients
BT Fleet Solutions is delivering faster lead times, reduced vehicle downtime and improved customer satisfaction for its fleet clients following a seven-figure investment in SMR.
BT Fleet Solutions invested more than £1.6m in its SMR offer in 2017
Recognised by the firm’s recent award win at the 2018 Fleet World Honours, BT Fleet Solutions has made a major commitment to improving SMR for customers with an investment of more than £1.6m in 2017. This has included extending its working hours, introducing mobile technicians and bringing further digitisation to improve efficiency.
The new measures are bringing particular benefits to fleets – especially Fleet Solutions’ commitment to 24/5 and extended hours operations.
Lead times in vehicle bookings are faster by 47% across Fleet Solutions’ entire garage estate, rising to 72% when looking only at its 24/5 and extended hours operations.
Vehicle off-road (VOR) time in 2017 averaged only 1.26 days, cross-estate, falling to 1.21 days in 24/5 and extended hours operations.
The firm also said that more than 25 Fleet Solutions customers now use mobile SMR – compared to just two, on trial, in 2016 – bringing downtime improvements averaging two hours/job and daily rental cost-savings of up to £1k/day. This has been made possible by the acquisition in February 2017 of strategic partner, SEV Automotive and Plant.
BT Fleet Solutions has also scored an average of 98% for contact centre professionalism in customer feedback surveys, underlining its commitment to investing in customer service training.
