Lexus updates best-selling CT and NX
Lexus will launch a refreshed CT hatchback and NX crossover late this year, replacing models which account for over half of its UK sales volume.
Lexus NX 300h
The NX is Lexus’s best-seller this year; at 2,370 registered, the crossover takes almost a third (31.6%) of its UK volume, with 85.2% of customers (2,017) opting for the hybrid NX 300h.
Exterior updates are subtle, comprising alterations to the front bumper and slatted grille insert, and new alloy wheels, the biggest changes made are to the equipment offered.
The 2018 NX gets a larger infotainment screen – 10.3 inches for versions with navigation, 8.0 inches for those without, both as an upgrade from the 7.0-inch unit offered since launch – with a simplified centre console and the Lexus Safety System + suite of driver assistance technologies now available.
Lexus CT 200h
The CT 200h, which has taken a quarter (24.7%) of Lexus’s UK volume so far this year (1,851 units), gets similar upgrades; a larger navigation system screen and Lexus Safety System +, plus new interior colours and minor alterations to exterior styling, most noticeable on the F Sport, which gets new mesh grilles.
The updated CT and NX will launch at the end of 2017. Prices and fuel consumption details have not been released as yet, but the latter is likely to be unchanged compared to the outgoing versions.
