Leasing Options partners with Pod Point

Leasing Options is to provide its customers with access to charging solutions under a new partnership with Pod Point.

Formed in 2009, Pod Point has manufactured and sold over 102,000 charging points across the UK and Norway

The tie-up with one of the UK’s leading providers of electric vehicle charging will give Leasing Options customers access to a variety of home and workplace charging devices, backed by the Pod Point network.

Formed in 2009, Pod Point has manufactured and sold over 102,000 charging points across the UK and Norway. It’s also developed an extensive public network connecting EV drivers with 5,200+ charging bays at locations including Tesco, Lidl and Center Parcs.

It’s the latest business partnership for Leasing Options, which said it’s seen unprecedented demand for electric vehicles over the 12 months.

Mike Thompson, chief operating officer of Leasing Options, commented: “Electric leasing has been a significant focus for our business for the last 12 months and is certainly an area we have exciting plans for throughout 2022.

“Announcing this partnership and opportunity for our customers is the first of many developments for our electric division in 2022 and helps us extend our service now to cover all areas of electric leasing.

“We’ve selected Pod Point as our partners as they offer the same commitment of excellent customer service which is crucial to us. We’re excited to be working with and developing a strong working relationship that will be of benefit to all our customers.”

Pod Point added that the tie-up would help address driver concerns over charging availability and make EVs more attractive.

Erik Fairbairn, CEO at Pod Point, commented: “We want to make sure the transition to electric is seamless for drivers and so we are delighted to be working with Leasing Options. We’re very pleased to kick off 2022 by announcing our new partnership and helping even more drivers discover the benefits of EVs.”
