Kia enables over-the-air updates across full model range

Kia has introduced new over-the-air (OTA) functionality for its full model line-up.

Customers can benefit from faster, easier access to latest software via wireless updates

The new capability is available for all models equipped with Kia Connect from MY22 onwards and means that customers don’t have to download updates manually from the official Kia Navigation Updates portal or visit a Kia dealership.

The updates provide latest UK and European maps, interface improvements and bug fixes, delivering up-to-date functionality while saving time for customers compared to before.

Kia’s first OTA update campaign – due to finish at the end of February – offers a range of specific enhancements, including a rollout of the EV6’s ‘Eco’ menu to all other Kia electric models, improved voice recognition and enhanced 3D map visualisation.

Drivers of MY22 or 23 Kia vehicles with Kia Connect can also ensure their vehicles benefit from the latest updates by installing the latest software version from the Kia Navigation Updates website to active OTA updates.
