The BMW iX3 and Tesla Model X rival first launched in 2018 and has since gained more than 90 global awards, including Design of the Year, Green Car and Car of the Year at the 2019 World Car of the Year Awards.

Available to order now and priced from £69,995, the revised model builds on this for the 2024 model year with a more distinctive design, advanced specifications and expanded trim line-up.

Exterior updates introduce a smoother front grille now in grey, rather than the previous black lozenge format and displaying the new black and silver Jaguar badge. The front bumper finishers, lower door finishers and rear diffuser adopt the body colour instead of black. A contrast panoramic roof in black also debuts and customers can also specify satin paints for the first time, either in Eiger Grey or new Carpathian Grey.

Jaguar has also revamped the trims with a four-tier line-up, introducing new R-Dynamic models that start with the S, followed by the SE Black and HSE Black. In the UK, a new flagship 400 Sport variant now tops the range, fitted as standard with features such as slimline 14-way adjustable heated and cooled Ebony Windsor leather seats and adaptive air suspension. It also adds in additional styling details, including a bootlid spoiler and 22-inch gloss black alloy wheels.

Across the range, the Pivi Pro infotainment system is standard, with integrated Alexa voice control and What3words navigation as well as wireless Apple CarPlay and Wireless Android Auto. Updates for Pivi Pro, and other systems throughout the vehicle, are kept up to date via over-the-air software updates.

An exterior Black Pack is now standard on all models from the R-Dynamic SE Black and above, and used for the grille surround, window surrounds, door mirror caps and rear badges.

As before, the sole powertrain features a dual-motor setup, producing 400hp and 696Nm torque, and benefiting from intelligent all-wheel drive and a low centre of gravity. It enables 0-60mph in only 4.5 seconds.

The 90kWh lithium-ion battery delivers a WLTP range of up to 292 miles and can be charged using a 100kW DC charger, giving up to 78 miles of range in around 15 minutes. Customers with three-phase electricity and an 11kW home wall box can add up to 33 miles of range (WLTP) per hour, while a full charge takes only 8.6 hours. 7kW wall boxes deliver up to 22 miles of charge per hour and a full charge in 12.75 hours.

Drivers can also use a Low Cost Hours Only feature to set start and stop times in line with tariffs and make use of off-peak energy. They also get access to the brand’s pan-European public network, which currently encompasses some 400,000+ charging points across 27 European countries and over 700 separate charging point providers, including the newly added Ubitricity. Network growth will see more operators added in 2023.

Nick Collins, executive director, vehicle programmes, said of the updates: “I-Pace has always offered a comprehensive package of performance, agility, technology and everyday usability that customers expect from a Jaguar, together with the smooth, quiet and effortless driving experience that electrification offers. We’ve delivered exactly that, and now it’s our latest model to benefit from our approach of offering more curated, richer specifications.

“Looking to the future, we’re applying the know-how from our electrified vehicle programmes and accelerated technological development enabled by our collaborative partnership with the Jaguar TCS Racing Team to reimagine Jaguar as an all-electric modern luxury brand from 2025.”
