Honda & Daihatsu join vehicle recall
Honda confirmed today that its recall would cover almost 4.9 million more cars fitted with the airbags. Manufactured and supplied by Takata, the airbags have potentially faulty inflators and have been linked to at least five deaths worldwide.
Customers of affected vehicles will be contacted by their local dealer to arrange an appointment to have airbag inflators replaced.
Daihatsu is also recalling a number of additional vehicles.
The news comes just a day after Toyota and Nissan announced that they are to recall 6.5 million vehicles across the globe for the same issue.
