HMRC publishes latest advisory fuel rates

HMRC has announced latest advisory fuel rates, which take effect from 1 December 2020 and bring just one update.

The rate for petrol engines from 1401cc to 2000cc drops a penny to 11ppm from 1 December 2020

The only change is for petrol engines from 1401cc to 2000cc, where the rate drops a penny to 11ppm.

All other rates, including for diesel and LPG-fuelled models, remain the same.

The electric vehicle rate remains at 4ppm.

The new tables are as follows (old rates in brackets):

Engine size Petrol – amount per mile LPG – amount per mile
1400cc or less 10 pence (10p) 7 pence (7p)
1401cc to 2000cc 11 pence (12p) 8 pence (8p)
