The business already offers a peer-to-peer car sharing platform and car club service and is now providing a simple solution to pool car management that makes organisations’ fleet cars easily shareable.

Keith Stark, business development lead at Hiyacar, explained: “Hiyacar’s new pool car solutions offering aims to allow organisations across the UK to manage their pool car fleets, save and make money on their newly shareable vehicles and take the hassle out of managing large fleets.”

Its technology provides a driver booking platform, keyless vehicle access and a fleet management solution, enabling an end-to-end solution for organisations looking to better manage their pool car fleet. This enables organisations to gather real-time car information on journeys and rate of charge for EVs, see emissions reporting, monitor drivers and use vehicle utilisation to identify nearby parking to alleviate own-site pressures.

The platform also enables fleet owners to share their vehicles with the public, or with other organisations at their own discretion, helping to offset the cost of the pool car solution. Hiyacar’s non-invasive keyless vehicle access technology removes the need for in-person key handovers and make use of facial recognition software, or RFID card entry systems for fleets not requiring face-rec.

Hiyacar also offers a range of additional services to pool car customers such as driver verification, insurance, cleaning, maintenance and EV charging.
